The WWE Championship and Raw Tag-Team Championships will be on-the-line when Monday Night Raw returns to the ThunderDome inside Amway Center in Orlando, Florida next week.
During this week’s episode of the weekly red brand television program on USA Network, two big title matches were announced for next week’s show, which will be the “go-home” episode for the red brand heading into the WWE Survivor Series 2020 pay-per-view on November 22nd.
Scheduled for the final Raw show leading into the annual WWE PPV that takes place near the Thanksgiving holiday is a one-on-one showdown between WWE Champion Randy Orton and Drew McIntyre — with the title up-for-grabs.
The Orton-McIntyre title bout in a rematch from last month’s WWE Hell In A Cell 2020 PPV, where “The Viper” won the title with a surprising victory over “The Scottish Psychopath”.
If McIntyre pulls off the victory on the 11/16 episode of WWE Raw, not only will he recapture his WWE Championship, he will effectively secure a spot in the WWE Survivor Series 2020 PPV main event, as he would then replace Orton against Roman Reigns in the advertised WWE Champion vs. Universal Champion non-title match on the card.
Also announced for next week’s red brand show is a Raw Tag-Team Championship match, with reigning title-holders The New Day — Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods — defending against Shelton Benjamin and Cedric Alexander of The Hurt Business.
