WWE Hall of Famer Beth Phoenix makes her way down the ramp and enters the ring of the Barclays Center Arena in Brooklyn, NY. Her music cuts as the crowd whistles and cheers. Phoenix says she appreciates being given this time on RAW to give a medical update on her husband, Edge.

Phoenix declares, “You think I would hug you or shake your hand after what you did to my husband you son of a bitch??” Orton walks back, sitting on the top turnbuckle. Phoenix continues, “You know what Randy, I thought I might see you here tonight, and if anyone needs to hear this, it’s you!”
Phoenix continues on saying she, as a wife, deserves her husband. As a mother, her children deserve their father. Phoenix begins to say maybe there’s a possibility… Orton gets down off the turnbuckle, and walks around her. Orton grabs a mic, saying, “I know what you were going to say, and there is no maybe. Edge will never wrestle again.”
Orton continues on to say he doesn’t know how to say it, but Phoenix deserves an explanation. Orton tells a story about from back in 1999 when in the fall, WWE had a live event in St. Louis where his father Cowboy Bob Orton took him down to meet some officials because Randy wanted to get in the business. Orton said to be backstage with Austin, Foley, HHH, Michaels, Davey Boy Smith as a fan, the one man that came up to his dad was Edge.
Edge tells Cowboy Bob, that he is one of the reasons he broke into the business. Cowboy Bob tells Edge that Randy Orton wanted to break into the business to which Edge said, “Good luck kid, if you work hard, maybe one day we will work in the ring together.” A handful of years later Orton and Edge were stealing shows every night, then as Rated RKO, just as things couldn’t get any better… He hit a brick wall.
Orton continued on saying he shoulda been buried, but he wasn’t, because Edge pulled him out of that hole and saved his life. Orton said he returned the favor, and saved Edge’s life. Orton said because after 9 long years, when 6 weeks ago Edge returned, thinking he was back for good, where he would start competing.
Orton said he knew someone would want to make a name for themselves, and land Edge in a wheelchair or worse. He then tells Phoenix that he then did this so she could have a husband, and her two daughters, Lyric and Ruby, could have a father. Orton then says it’s not his fault, it’s Phoenix’s fault. Edge is a junky for the roar of the crowd, and she did NOTHING to stop it, and Orton had to do something, because he loved him like a brother.
Phoenix begins crying in the center of the ring. Orton continues, “When I say that out loud, I realize something. I love your girls, and I love Edge more than you ever could.” The crowd begins chanting, “Bull****! Bull****!” Phoenix smacks Orton across the face. Orton leans over, grabbing his knees, trying to calm himself. Orton slowly lifts his head, looking at Phoenix in the eyes.
