A major match is planned for tonight’s WWE Raw in Boston, MA and it will include the retiring John Cena.
Earlier today, bodyslam.net reported that the current plan for tonight is for Cena to challenge Dominik Mysterio for the WWE Intercontinental Title with the match to take place on the show itself. Cena has already been announced as opening tonight’s Raw, presumably where he will make the challenge.
This match has long been rumored and was once talked about taking place at Survivor Series, which would have taken place in Dominik’s hometown, San Diego where Cena would have captured the belt. However, last week, Dom seemed to restart a storyline with his father Rey, and it’s possible that those two will wrestle at Survivor Series instead.
Bryan Alvarez of f4wonline.com further reported that Cena is expected to wrestle next week as well when Raw heads to New York’s Madison Square Garden. He has only four dates left on his schedule before retiring in December.
