The Monday, December 16th episode of WWE Raw set a new futility record for generating the lowest non-holiday audience for the program, drawing an average of 2.054 million, eclipsing the previous non-holiday mark of 2.056 million set only a month ago on November 11.
The all-time low for Raw is 1.775 million set on December 24, 2018 followed by 1.985 million on December 31, which obviously were Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.
The news is worse when you consider that the 11/11 show went head-to-head against the 49ers/Seahawks football game which drew over 15 million viewers while last night’s Raw went up against the Saints/Colts which was watched by 11.1 million.
As well, WWE Raw was coming off the TLC PPV which in theory should help numbers.
On the night, Raw was 12th in total viewership but wasn’t very strong in the 18-49 demographic either, finishing #4, #8 and #11 with an average rating of 0.60 – all drops from last week.
Hourly figures are below, which shows one of the weakest opening hours in history – also not lending much support for any genuine interest in TLC.
- * Hour 1 – 2.204 million
* Hour 2 – 2.099 million
* Hour 3 – 1.858 million
