WWE is gearing up for a big Superstar return.
Or debut.
Sunday morning saw the pro wrestling community speculating on which after a cryptic vignette was released by WWE across their various social media platforms.
The video shows a mystery person in dress shoes walking in a hallway, taking steps as he enters into the camera frame. The mystery man is never identified, and outside of the fancy shoes, there is no clues as to who it will be.
Early speculation is that it will be the return of GUNTHER, or possibly Santos Escobar. The latter is actually specifically rumored for Monday’s WWE Raw in Anaheim, CA., while the former is expected back soon to begin the storyline leading up to John Cena’s retirement match at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event in December.
Other suggestions for who the vignette could represent include Tony D’Angelo, who has been written off of NXT storylines, or a returning Andrade, whose situation has been in limbo ever since WWE enforced a reported one-year non-compete clause and perhaps could look to bring him back.
