— It looks like Shane McMahon’s absence from WWE didn’t last too long if a report from pwinsider.com is accurate. The story states that WWE is bringing Shane back this weekend for WrestleMania 38 but there are no confirmations whether he will be in town to do promotional work related to the PPV or if he’s being booked to appear on the show itself. He will, however, be in the area for the entire weekend.
— McMahon was last on WWE TV at this year’s Royal Rumble where it was expected that he was going to begin a storyline with Seth Rollins that would have led to a match at WrestleMania. However, after backstage reaction to his presence and involvement in the Rumble match was largely negative, Shane’s involvement was abruptly removed and he was sent home for an indefinite period of time. Another idea was for Shane to work match against Austin Theory with a connection to Theory’s relationship with Vince McMahon.
