WWE Reportedly Re-Signs Multi-Time Champion To New Long-Term Contract

While multiple wrestlers have recently departed the company after their deals expired, WWE has actually re-signed at least one wrestler and he’s one of their top stars.

Fightfulselect.com reported this afternoon that WWE and New Day member Xavier Woods have agreed to a new multi-year extension that will see him stay with the company for many years. The two sides had been negotiating for a while and the signing came right down to the wire as his old deal was expiring in September 2025 and apparently was only finalized last month, meaning he was probably only days away from also being a free agent.

With Woods signed, there is no details on the contractual status of Kofi Kingston other that in 2019, all three members of The New Day signed new, matching agreements. However, due to various injuries that any of them may have suffered along the way, WWE could possibly have added injury time to the length of the contract, which would have disrupted the synchronization of their deals.
