During the Kickoff Show of Sunday’s WWE Royal Rumble Event, Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler beat Charlotte Flair and RAW Women’s Champion Asuka to become the brand-new WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair and Lacey Evans interfered in the title match and ended up helping Jax and Baszler capture the titles.
This is the second time for Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler to be the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions. “The Queen” Charlotte Flair and Asuka became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions back at the WWE TLC PPV on December 20th by defeating Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler, who were the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time.
You can check out how Jax and Baszler became the WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions in the posts below:

A segment took place during the earlier part of the Royal Rumble PPV, where The Miz and John Morrison offered Rapper Bad Bunny a collaboration. Bad Bunny would decline the collaboration offer which would upset The Miz and John Morrison and that would see Miz destroy the Rapper’s DJ table he had set up on the stage from his performance earlier in the show.
During the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match, Bad Bunny made his way down to the ring and distracted both Miz and Morrison enough to get them eliminated. Rapper Bunny then proceeded to make his way up to the top turnbuckle, where he would leap and land a cross-body on both Miz and Morrison.
You can check out Bad Bunny’s dive in the videos below:

During Sunday’s Royal Rumble PPV, the WWE 24/7 Championship changed hands a total of three times. The first title change happened when Alicia Fox captured the WWE 24/7 Title from R-Truth. This took place during the 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match as R-Truth made his way down to the ring and was pinned by Fox after some comedy segment. This was Alicia Fox’s first time becoming the WWE 24/7 Champion.
Alicia Fox was then eliminated by Mandy Rose and pinned by R-Truth at ringside to begin his 47th 24/7 Championship reign. Alicia Fox and a number of male wrestlers then chased R-Truth through the virtual crowd.
WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth then later interrupted the Royal Rumble Kickoff Show panel, which featured Peter Rosenberg, Charly Caruso and a few others looking back at what happened during the Royal Rumble PPV at that point. Peter Rosenberg then tricked R-Truth into thinking the 16-time World Champion John Cena was nearby and then hit him with a low blow to get the pin. Rosenberg then celebrated his first-ever WWE 24/7 Championship reign and ran off with the title as R-Truth recovered.
Truth was the WWE 24/7 Champion since winning the WWE 24/7 Title back from Angel Garza on the Legends Night episode of Monday Night RAW on January 4th.
