The *spoiler* updates and backstage rumors continue to surface regarding potential surprise entrants in the men’s and women’s Royal Rumble matches at this Sunday night’s WWE Royal Rumble 2020 pay-per-view at Minute Maid Park in Houston, Texas.
On Thursday’s episode of PWInsider Elite, it was mentioned that former WWE Intercontinental Champion Santino Marella was being brought in for the 30-Man Royal Rumble Match this Sunday in Houston.
Additionally, the report goes onto note that while Marella could be in town to tape material for the WWE Network, he could easily be used for the men’s or women’s Royal Rumble match.
In the past, Marella has wrestled as a woman claiming to be twin sister “Santina” and he actually won the WrestleMania XXV “Miss WrestleMania” Battle Royal.
Marella won the WWE Intercontinental Championship way back in 2007, and last wrestled for WWE in 2014 before being released in 2016. He did, however make a cameo appearance last summer at the WWE Raw Reunion show.
