Another WWE star – Karrion Kross – is in a contract year with the possibility that he may be on the way out.
A report from fightfulselect.com notes that Kross is in the final year of his deal with WWE with some sources believing that a more accurate end date is this summer. It is also believed that WWE has not yet approached Kross about an extension or a new deal and there’s also no word on if there is any interest from the company to retain his services.
As of late, when wrestlers have expiring deals, WWE has usually been informing them within a month of that date that they will be letting the contract expire thereby effectively parting ways with them and sending them to free agency. Also in recent times, WWE has been more likely to keep talent on television up until the date they’re notified that they won’t be engaging in negotiations for a new contract with R-Truth being one example.
