WWE Schedule News & Notes For 2019 Year-End Holiday Season

WWE Schedule Changes For Holiday Season: RAW To Be Taped, More

According to the WrestleVotes account, WWE Raw scheduled for December 23 will not be live; instead it will be pre-taped on December 17 in Sioux City, IA and aired on Monday. This will enable all talent to be off from December 23 – December 25, with events resuming on December 26 with live events in New York (Raw) and Cincinnati (Smackdown). There is also a “supershow” scheduled for Sunday, December 22 in Albany.

Given Christmas falls on Wednesday, there will obviously be no live NXT show that day and Smackdown on Friday, December 27 will also presumably be unaffected. In the past, WWE has bounced around different schedules around the holiday, even holding a live Raw right on Christmas Day a couple of years ago that did not go over well with at all with talent and their families. Since then, the company has tried to give everyone time off at this time of the year, though this year with only three days off, it is noticeably less than last year.
