— Last night’s WWE Smackdown ushered in a bit of a new era with the show expanding to three hours and getting a new ring mat to boot. As seen on the episode, WWE’s usual light blue mat evolved into something much darker and it looks like the changes won’t stop there either, as a new mat is also being rumored for Monday’s Netflix debut of Raw.

— Earlier in the day there was a different mat on the ring and it was black, while featuring different logos including Fortnite, Snickers and Netflix. In opposite corners were ads for Riyadh Season while in the other corners were logos for Real American Beer, Hulk Hogan’s product. With the Netflix logo present, it is strongly believed that this will be the new mat that WWE will be using for Raw moving forward and a stark change from the past as it will include sponsors.
