WWE has announced a couple of new updates for tonight’s Friday Night Smackdown.
After the developments last week when a match between Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre ended without a clear decision, both competitors have been announced as being in the building as things lead up to their upcoming title clash at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event.
WWE has also announced that new United States Champion Ilja Dragunov will continue the open challenge series for the title on SmackDown tonight after previous champion Sami Zayn started it. After his win, Dragunov stated it’s his duty to continue being a fighting champion like Zayn was. Below is the updated lineup for tonight:
- WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre appearances
- Non-title match: Tiffany Stratton vs. Kiana James
- WWE United States Champion Ilja Dragunov open challenge
- Tag Team Match: Shinsuke Nakamura & Rey Fenix vs. MFT
