— Jessika Carr, who is currently a referee on WWE’s Smackdown brand is reportedly looking to get back into the ring. According to a report from ewrestling.com, Carr wrestled in a match for an NIL exhibition earlier in August at the company’s Performance Center in Florida. Prior to the match, Carr apparently told people that she was “done being just a ref” and was looking to try out as a wrestler again for WWE.

— The report went onto state that in the past, feedback for her stint as a wrestler and a referee hasn’t exactly drawn positive reviews. The general consensus backstage was that she is falling short of expectations as an official to the point where several wrestlers have gone to management to specifically request that she not work their matches. Where her in-ring potential is concerned, the report noted that in the past, WWE officials didn’t feel she had the ability that they were looking for as a performer.
