Tonight’s edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown has the blue brand prepared for the second episode of season two of the weekly WWE on FOX show, with a jam-packed lineup full of big matches and segments scheduled for the show this evening.
eWrestling.com reporter Matt Boone announced tonight’s WWE SmackDown previews for tonight’s show. In the wake of her epic Hell in a Cell Match against Bayley, The Boss must defend the SmackDown Women’s Title in a rematch against her former best friend turned bitter rival. Bayley claimed Sasha doesn’t know how to retain championships after winning them. Will Banks prove her wrong and go on to face Raw Women’s Champion Asuka in a Champion vs. Champion Match at Survivor Series? Or will next week simply be the start of a historic new reign for The Role Model. The storied rivalry between Sasha Banks and Bayley will come to an end, this Friday at 8/7 C on FOX!

WWE Friday Night SmackDown LIVE Results – (11/6/20)
Show Opening
Tonight’s WWE Friday Night SmackDown kicks off as we enter the ThunderDome for the November 6, 2020 episode! As we are welcomed by the commentary team, we are reminded tonight’s SmackDown is sponsored by Progressive
WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Sasha Banks
We hear the entrance theme of The Boss, our Friday Night SmackDown Women’s Champion, Sasha Banks! Banks shakes her hips as she stands at the top of the stage, then makes her way down the ramp towards the ring. We head into a video clip highlighting the events between Sasha Banks and Bayley up until Banks ends Bayley’s 380 reign as the SmackDown Women’s Champion.
Then we hear Bayley’s threat of taking her title back as she stated to Banks, “Ding Dong, it ends!”
Backstage – Bayley
Kayla Braxton is backstage with the former SmackDown Women’s Champion, “Since your start in WWE, you and Banks have been intertwined together, so many emotions must be running through you…” Bayley agrees, stating that thinking about wrapping the steel chair around Sasha’s neck brought her joy. When she thinks about Sasha forcing her to sign the Hell in a Cell contract made her angry. Bayley then says she’s sad they didn’t show the most important part of Banks’s career, every time she defends her championships, *ding-dong* she loses!
Bayley states she hopes that Sasha enjoyed all the photo shoots as the SmackDown Women’s Champion, because it’s the only thing she’s going to have to remember her reign as champion by. Bayley’s music sounds and she walks away from Kayla.
Sasha Banks vs. Bayley
Sasha Banks is already in the ring from the opening of SmackDown. Bayley makes her way to the stage after speaking with Kayla Braxton backstage. As Bayley enters the ring, Bayley and Sasha get in each other’s faces as the referee pulls them apart. The match is officially announced. The crowd “boo’s” as Bayley’s name is called. A pop in the crowd as Sasha Banks’s name is called. The referee holds up the SmackDown Women’s Championship belt over his head, then signals for the bell. The first match of the evening, a title match, is officially underway!
Sasha and Bayley immediately lock up, Bayley powers Sasha into the corner turnbuckle. Sasha shoves Bayley back as both women rally for leadership in the match. Sasha heads up top and hits a Deep Arm Drag on Bayley. Sasha heads in for a cover, Bayley kicks out. Sasha in a creative counter, though Bayley still gets a pin attempt. Sasha kicks out. Sasha looks for the Bank Statement after a take-down on Bayley. Bayley exits the ring quickly as Sasha states, “Hello… *ding-dong*… I’m waiting!” and we head to our first commercial break of the evening!
As we return from commercial break, Bayley with a Baseball Slide out of the ring, Sasha quickly re-enters the ring! Sasha off the ropes, slides out of the ring, grabbing Bayley’s ankle to pull Bayley into a face-first smash into the apron! Back in the ring, Sasha gets the cover on Bayley for the two count! We see a replay of the Double Knees delivered by Sasha into Bayley. Sasha goes at Bayley once again, Bayley propels Sasha up in the air causing Sasha to FLY through the air and land face-first on the apron. Bayley throws Sasha back in the ring and goes for the cover, Sasha kicks out!
Bayley now in control of the match, Bayley with the Catapult ramming Sasha into the bottom rope, Bayley goes for the cover again, Sasha kicks out at two once again! Bayley then goes for a Chokehold on Sasha, the crowd begins to cheer and clap to assist Sasha back to her feet. Sasha on the offense momentarily, hitting a Double Knee and the cover. Bayley kicks out at two. Clothesline by Bayley for the cover, Sasha kicks out! Sasha on the second rope, Mediora to take down Bayley. Both Superstars are down and out on the canvas.
Bayley rolls to the outside of the ring. Sasha with a Cross Body, wiping out Bayley as we head to commercial break once again!
As we return from the commercial break yet again, Banks is sitting on the top turnbuckle, then gets all the way up top, grabbing Bayley by the hair. Bayley counters and the two struggle back and forth. Banks slides through to ringside, lifting Bayley on her shoulder’s to deliver a DDT on the outside. Bayley counters and throws Banks into the announcer’s table! Banks responds with a move of her own, then Bayley is thrown back in the ring. Banks heads up top and delivers a Frog Splash from the heavens for the cover! Bayley kicks out. Backstabber, Bayley to Belly attempt, then Banks gets the Bank Statement locked in. Bayley to the apron, kicking Banks into the barricade!
Bayley grabs a kendo stick, the referee grabs the kendo stick and tells officials to get it out of the ring. Bayley then throws in a steel chair and looks to hit Banks who counters, knocking the chair out of Bayley’s hand, then throws the chair from the ring.
Bayley with a Backstabber. Bayley with a Bayley to Belly for the cover! Banks kicks out!! Flying Elbow by Bayley for the cover yet again! Banks kicks out once again at two! We immediately see a replay. Banks throws Bayley into the corner. Bayley hits a Running Knee. Back Suplex follows. Bayley goes for the cover, Banks again kicks out! Bayley locks in the BANK STATEMENT on Sasha Banks! Banks makes it close to the ropes, then Bayley uses her foot to push off the ropes.
Banks rolls through and gets the cover, Bayley kicks out. Banks slams Bayley into the post. Banks with the Backstabber then locks in the Banks Statement in the center of the ring causing Bayley to tap!!
Winner and STILL SmackDown Women’s Champion: Sasha Banks!
After the Match
Banks makes her way up the ramp as she holds the SmackDown Women’s Championship title as she walks backwards up the ramp. As Banks turns around, out of nowhere, Carmella strikes with a Superkick, taking Banks down at the top of the ramp with an ambush! The crowd “boo’s” as Carmella poses and smiles standing over Banks with her arms extended out.

Still to come, Otis Vs. Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio Vs. King Corbin in two Survivor Series qualifying matches.
Backstage – Jey Uso
Jey Uso is at the drinks table with Kevin Owens. “I saw last weeks, now Roman has you getting hid coffee, that should be Heyman’s job, right?” Jey asks if Owens thinks that his family is a joke. Owens says he doesn’t and they are partners at Survivor Series and he was just checking on him, but obviously he has something on his mind. Owens suggests Jey switch to decaf as we head to commercial break.
Undertaker’s Final Farewell – Survivor Series
As we return from commercial break we get a picture from “Undertaker “Final Farewell Survivor Series” 30″ which takes place two weeks from Sunday.
“Moments Ago” Clip
We see a video clip from Carmella’s return where she attacked the SmackDown Women’s Champion immediately following her match with Bayley as Sasha made her way up the ramp. Michael Cole then reads from Carmella’s social media account from earlier today, “Today is the day, you’re not gonna wanna miss SmackDown. You will see why I’m untouchable.”
Backstage Interview – Jey Uso
We head backstage where Kayla Braxton is standing with Jey Uso where she states she wants to take him back to last week in particular.
Video Clip – Jey Uso and Roman Reigns Last Friday
We head into a clip of last Friday with Roman Reigns speaking to Jey, “What’d I tell you? I was gonna make you quit, and what’d I do?” as a clip inside the clip is shown from Hell in a Cell where Reigns forced Uso to say “I Quit”. Then we see last week where Jey says, “I HATE You, why you gotta do me like this?” Reigns states by the end of the night, Jey will fall in line or be disowned by the family.
We then see Jey Uso vs. Daniel Bryan’s match where Reigns stood ringside in the middle of the match and Uso won the match to go on to Survivor Series. Jey then turns his attention to Roman, “You the head of the table.” Jey delivers a Superkick to Bryan, then lands a Splash on Bryan, “I UNDERSTAND NOW…. I LOVE YOU TOO!” Jey then proceeded to attack Daniel Bryan under the orders of Reigns. Reigns smiles on.
We are back with Jey Uso where Kayla asks him to explain his actions. “I did what I had to do” Uso states, he’s sorry, but DB ain’t blood, family is forever. Kayla agrees, but adds, “Unless they don’t fall in line.” Uso says, “Oh you got jokes too huh, everybody funny tonight.” Paul Heyman walks up, “Hi, how are you, I’m fine, thanks for asking. Question, did Roman Reigns authorize this interview? That was rhetorical, no he did not. Roman needs to talk to you.” Kayla says it seems Heyman has a better spot in Roman’s squad than Uso does. Heyman tells Uso, “Let’s not keep him waiting.
Backstage – Rey Mysterio
We switch to Rey Mysterio on the phone, Dominick runs up and asks what he’s doing, his match is up next. Rey asks if anyone has seen Aliyah. Rey asks Dominick to go grab his gear. As Dominick walks off, King Corbin attacks Rey from behind, then runs off as Dominick returns asking what happened. We head to commercial break.
Outside Roman Reigns Dressing Room
We return from commercial break and Paul Heyman is standing with Jey Uso outside of Roman Reigns’s dressing room/pricate locker room. Heyman tells Jey he appreciates what he’s trying to do, but next time he needs to run it by Roman first. Jey questions, I have to get permission for an interview?” Heyman smiles relieved as he responds, “Thank you, you get it, exactly.” Jey then says “Let’s go talk to him then,” and goes for the door when Heyman stops him. Heyman says he will go get Roman, and Jey can wait here… Heyman will send him out when he’s ready. Jey looks annoyed as he stands in wait.
Roman heads out in his “Wreck Everyone & Leave” tight tank. Roman asks if Jey is trying to tell his story or something, Jey says he was just doing an interview. Roman then asks what was going on with Kevin Owens. Jey says “He got jokes…” Roman says jokes are disrespect, then asks if Jey is gonna allow someone to disrespect him. Roman then adds that disrespect to Jey is disrespect to Roman and their entire bloodline. Jey says he’s going to handle it and walks off.
Roman then turns to Heyman and asks if he knew about this. Heyman says he found out as it was happening. Roman says he has Heyman to handle everything, to know everything, so Roman doesn’t have to. Heyman apologizes and says he understands. Roman then tells Heyman “Go find Adam Pearce, we’re gonna handle this KO problem, tonight.”
King Corbin vs. Rey Mysterio
Out first for this qualifying match where the winner will join the SmackDown Survivor Series team, is King Corbin as his music sounds in the ThunderDome. Commentary notes that it might be difficult for Rey to focus on this match when he doesn’t know where his daughter Aliyah currently is, as the opponent Rey Mysterio makes his way to the ring with son Dominick Mysterio by his side. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and this match is officially underway!
As the bell rings, King Corbin catches Mysterio with a Spinebuster, followed by a cover. Mysterio kicks out at two. Corbin then gets Mysterio to the apron, choking him in the ropes and generally taking advantage of having attacked him earlier. To the floor, beating him down in front of his son, back inside, back out again and finally Rey gets a chance to get his licks in delivering multiple strikes. Forearms inside, off the ropes but he runs right into a back elbow! Baron recovers, but Mysterio rolls through and gets a quick cover on Corbin who kicks out and heads to ringside.
Seth Rollins Interrupts Match
As Mysterio is looking to follow up, the entrance theme for the former “Monday Night Messiah” Seth Rollins sounds, distracting Mysterio as we head to commercial break.
We return from commercial break and Dominick is standing between Rollins on the apron, and Rey in the ring with Corbin. We are reminded this is a qualifying match as Mysterio blocks Corbin with a kick to the midsection from the corner of the ring. Mysterio continues to chop down Corbin, Corbin getting shaky on his legs. Corbin with a boot before attempting a springboard moonsault but gets caught and slammed. Seth continues to taunt Rey from the stage and Corbin continues the beatdown in the ring. Dominik walks around and stares at Seth.
Corbin hits Rey with repeated backbreakers and scores a two-count. Mysterio rolls outside and Corbin chases after, beating him at ringside. Back inside Corbin peppers Rey with right hands. Corbin takes a bear hug but Rey bites his forehead to get free and hits a flurry of moves and a seated senton for a two-count. Rey looks for 619 but Corbin rolls out and hits a cheapshot to Dominik.
That angers Rey and he dives over the ropes onto Corbin. Rey puts Corbin inside and checks on Dominik. Rey gets back inside and Corbin headbutts him. Rey hits the 619 but Rollins attacks Dominik at ringside and Rey runs out. Aaliyah comes out with Murphy and Rey tells them to leave. He gets back inside and hit with the End of Days for the win!

Women’s Triple Threat Match
Natalya vs. Zelina Vega vs. Ruby RiottQuick match, all three head in hard to take an early advantage. Riott ends up on the outside as Natalya with a Sharp Shooter as Zelina Vega reaches for the ropes (commentary reminds that doesn’t matter as there are no qualifications). Ruby Riott locks in an Arm Bar as well. Natalya lets go, Ruby Riott continues to hold on as Natalya lets go, Ruby Riott wins as Zelina taps!
Winner: Ruby Riott
After the Match
Ruby Riott immediately exits the ring and celebrates as Natalya looks shocked and angry inside the ring along with Lana.
Backstage – Big E
We head backstage where Big E is playing a board game on the floor with a female friend. Big E wins and she walks off. “Big. *clap* E-Rocks. Big *clap* E-Rocks….” The Street Profits head in in bright green outfits. Montez Ford asks Big E if he wants to join them in the Champions Lounge as he shakes his tag-team title. Angelo Dawkins says they got it remodeled. Big E says he gets it, he knows they want the scoop on Kofi and Woods. Big E leans in and whispers, “If y’all lay down in the ring, Kofi and Woods won’t beat you up too bad!”
They all laugh together over-dramatically until Big E exits. We see E walk off as Billie Kay walks in with her headshot and resume, she notes she was a former member of the RAW roster if they want the inside scoop. Dawkins says, “Billie, we was on RAW the same time as you!” Billie looks shocked as she says, “Oh…” and Dawkins puts her headshot back into her hand and closes her fingers around it as The Street Profits walk off.
Otis Entrance For Match
Otis makes his way to the stage as his entrance theme sounds in the ThunderDome. Otis then stomps his way down the ramp as we head to commercial break!
Progressive Match-Flo Of The Week
As we return from commercial break, we head into a video clip from last week where Murphy wants to apologize to the Mysterio family, Rollins interrupts stating he embraces what the Mysterios will never accept. Aliyah stops Rey from hurting Murphy as she states, “I love him!” and kisses him. Rollins smiling ear to ear at the top of the stage as Rey Mysterio is distraught, Dominick assisting him up the ramp.
Survivor Series Qualifying Match
Otis vs. Seth RollinsOtis is already in the ring as he made his entrance before the commercial break. The Progressive Clip of the Week ends and Seth Rollins entrance theme blares over the speakers in the ThunderDome as the former “Monday Night Messiah” makes his way down the ramp and enters the ring for his qualifying match with Otis for the SmackDown Survivor Series Team. The referee signals for the bell and the match is officially underway!
Back and forth action between the two Superstars early on. Otis throws Rollins into the turnbuckle, then with a toss, and slamming Rollins to the canvas. Rollins quickly exits the ring as the referee begins the count. The referee gets to the count of five as Murphy makes his way to the stage and begins walking down the ramp. Rollins re-enters the ring at the count of eight. Otis catches Rollins foot as Rollins attempts a Kick. Rollins runs at Otis who sends Rollins over the top rope, landing right at Murphy’s feet.
Rollins makes his way back to his feet, distracted as he stares at Murphy. Otis comes running around the corner of the ring and slams into Rollins sending him flying into the barricade. Back in the ring, Rollins with a Sling-blade for the cover, Otis kicks out. Rollins runs and shoves his shoulder into the mid-section of Otis who is unphased. Otis shakes his belly. Otis gets hyped up. Rollins with a chop. Otis dances it off. Rollins with another Chop, Otis shakes (literally) Otis on a roll, slamming Rollins hard to the canvas.
Otis sends Rollins into the corner followed by a Spinning Slam. Otis runs for a Splash in the corner, Rollins counters with a Big Boot. Rollins off the second rope, caught by Otis for a Fall-away Slam, Otis connects with the Splash this time. Otis looks around and nods as he smacks his arms. Murphy on the apron. Murphy stares at Otis, then at Rollins. Otis runs at Murphy. Murphy jumps off the apron. Rollins with a Kick and a Stomp for the three count pin and win.

After the Match
Murphy walks off as commentary states he did the right thing for the greater good. Rollins watches Murphy walk up the ramp with a look of confusion on Rollins’s face. Murphy has his hands clasped like a disciple. We head to commercial break.
Backstage – Murphy
As we return from commercial break, we head backstage where Murphy is walking the halls Rollins catches up with him. “Murphy! I know what I saw tonight… I think I know what I saw tonight. Tell me, I saw what I think I saw Murph. Tell me…” Murphy says “Messiah…” pointing at Rollins then “disciple…” as he points to himself. Rollins is ecstatic! “I knew it! Say it again, say it, say it again!” Again Murphy does the same thing. Rollins is over the moon! “I knew it! I knew it! I knew the Mysterios would never accept you or your relationship, but I do! We have work to do!” Rollins heads off with a huge smile on his face.
Aliyah Mysterio Enters
Aliyah shouts, “Murphy! Murphy!” and shoves him in the chest, “What the HELL was thjat?!” “I go to my family, I defend you, and you help Seth?!” Murphy sdays “Please, please…. I know what I’m doing. You NEED to trust me” Murphy gtabs her hands. “This is for the greater good.”
Announcer’s Table
Corey Graves and Michael Cole are ringside, Cole states that he too, got to sit down with Lars Sullivan as Graves did last week. We head into the video of the interview where Lars is sitting across from Cole. Cole brings up Lars was called “Freak” Lars responds, “I hate bullies’. I’ve been bullied my entire life! For the way I LOOK. For the way I TALK. For the way I DRESSED. Those bullies, they would push me down, they would kick me. They would steal my lunch. They would mock me, and call me freak.”
He continues to breathe heavy. “The other kids would stand there and watch, and laugh, at my expense.” Lars breathes in heavily through his nose, “When I was 15 years old, I started lifting weights, and learned how to take care of myself, gained 50 lbs of muscle in 18 months and the bullying stopped. I became the bully. I bullied the bullies, and that was so much fun. And I would bully the kids that would stand there and watch, I bullied them too, because they deserved it. I learned I could bully whoever I want! I could make them DO whatever I want. I could make them EAT whatever I want. Dirt. Glass. Bugs. I could do whatever I WANT.I could do this… AHHHHHHHHH!”
Tears in his eyes, cheeks bright red as he laughs, “Now THATS intimidation. THATS bullying, and I LOVE it!” Lars laughed maniacally to end the segment.
Jey Uso Entrance
Jey Uso makes his way to the ring for this impromptu match made by his tribal chief/cousin Roman Reigns after K.O. “had jokes” that disrespected the Uso/Reigns bloodline. Jey makes his way down the ramp as we head to commercial break.
Talking Smack Promo
As we return from commercial break, we get some hype for tomorrow’s episode of Talking Smack.
Backstage Interview – Kevin Owens
Kevin Owens is interviewed backstage and talks about how Jey Uso and Roman Reigns might have a problem with him, but so be it.
What Jey did to Daniel Bryan last week was out of hand, but he gets it. He’s done questionable things for his family, but the difference is he chose to do those things because he’s his own man, which is more than he can say for Uso. The beating he’s got coming is 100% from KO.
Jey Uso vs. Kevin Owens
Jey Uso already made his way to the ring before commercial break for this impromptu match made by his tribal chief/cousin Roman Reigns after K.O. “had jokes” that disrespected the Uso/Reigns bloodline. After K.O.’s backstage interview, he makes his way to the ring. The referee signals for the bell, the bell rings and this match is officially underway! The bell rings and they lock-up, Jey shoots him off but Owens drops him with a shoulder. Roman is shown watching with Heyman backstage. Jey starts firing back and knocks Owens from the ring. Jey looks to hit a suicide dive but Owens catches him and slams him into the barricade. Owens goes to the apron and hits a frog splash as we head to the break. We head to commercial break.
As we return from commercial break, Owens drops Jey and heads to top rope but out comes Paul Heyman and Owens gets distracted. Uso knocks KO off the top rope to the floor and follows-up with a suicide dive. Jey gets Owens back inside and drops him with a superkick. Jey shouts at Owens and unloads right hands on him before applying a chinlock. Owens fights up and blocks a kick to hit a superkick. Owens scrambles to the corner and Jey attempts a splash but KO moves and hits another superkick.
We see Owens head up top and land a Frog Splash for a near-fall. Owens avoids a Pop-Up Powerbomb and hits a kick of his own, followed by a Neckbreaker for a near-fall. Jey goes up top and jumps over Owens but gets caught with a Pop-Up Powerbomb. Owens goes for the pin but Jey gets his foot on the bottom rope. Owens lifts Jey and looks for a Powerbomb but Roman Reigns’ music hits and Owens is distracted, allowing Jey to hit a blatant Low-Blow. Jey drops Owens and goes up top for the Uso Splash and the win.
Winner: Jey Uso
After the match
Roman Reigns comes out and saunters to meet Jey on the stage. Roman puts a hand on Jey’s shoulder and smiles as he stares at Owens and poses with the title.
