WWE Star Dominik Mysterio Reportedly To Be Sidelined Nine Months Due To Arm Injury

Dominik Mysterio is facing an extended period away from WWE’s in-ring action.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, “Dirty” Dom sustained a “freak injury” during his match with Andrade on April 15, necessitating ‘Tommy John surgery’ on his elbow.

This procedure, commonly associated with MLB pitchers, typically entails a recovery period of nine months.

“Dominik Mysterio also suffered an elbow injury,” Meltzer stated. “It seems to have occurred during a match with Andrade on 4/15 and was described to us as a freak accident. He will undergo Tommy John surgery on his elbow, which usually requires at least nine months of recovery.”

Meltzer noted, “Since he doesn’t have to throw pitches hard, his recovery time would likely be slightly shorter. Currently, the plan is to maintain his presence as a television character during his recovery. He was absent from the European tour and was seen with his arm in a sling at Raw.”

As observed on the latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Dom-Dom had his arm supported by a sling/brace and was withdrawn from his scheduled tag-team match.

It appears that the current intention is to retain Dominik’s presence on television as a character while he recuperates from ‘Tommy John surgery.’

We’ll provide updates as they become available.
