Hello again wrestling fans, and welcome back to the Talking Smack Recap! After the most recent episode of Friday Night Smackdown came to an end, WWE taped another episode of Talking Smack, which you can watch now on the WWE Network. Talking Smack is hosted by Kayla Braxton, and her co-host, Paul Heyman. The guests on the show will be Apollo Crews, Bayley, Rey Mysterio, and his son Dominik. Now that we’re all caught up on what’s going down, it’s time to talk some smack!
Kayla kicks off the show by welcoming the viewers back to the ThunderDome, and reminds everyone that Fastlane is just a few weeks away. Kayla then moves into discussions about the main event of Friday Night Smackdown, and talks about being “proud of Daniel Bryan”. Heyman congratulates Kayla on her “bias”, and talks about all of the nice things Daniel Bryan has going for him. Heyman builds Bryan up, and says that what Bryan doesn’t have “is a strategy to beat Roman Reigns”. Heyman adds that “Daniel Bryan is not man enough to beat Roman Reigns”. Heyman closes by saying all that Bryan has accomplished is “earning an ass kicking at Fastlane, that will be a message to Edge”. Kayla puts an end to the rant by Heyman, and moves on to the first guest of the morning, Bayley.
Bayley
Bayley shows up, and kisses both of the hosts on the hand. She then talks about being the host of “Ding Dong, Hello”, and tells the hosts she can “add more viewership to the show”. Bayley wonders “what’s up with these chairs” as Heyman teases Kayla about her performance on Raw Talk earlier this week. Kayla finally begins the interview, and asks what was said in the tweet Bayley threw away. Bayley tells Kayla “I’ll be asking the questions here”, and asks if Kayla wrote the tweet. Bayley invites Kayla to join her in the ring for a steel cage match, and Kayla applauds the person who sent the tweet. Kayla wonders who Bayley would like to have as a guest on her show, and Bayley mentions “Ellen, Ricki Lake, and Jerry Seinfeld”. Bayley closes by saying “I’m a star”, and Heyman apologizes “for Kayla’s behavior”. Kayla thanks Bayley for stopping by, and brings on the next guest, Apollo Crews.
Apollo Crews
Apollo is joined by his new “guard”, and he wonders if the hosts are “happy to be in my presence”. Kayla wonders how it feels to introduce “the real Apollo” to WWE. Crews explains, and talks about being called names throughout his childhood, before telling Big E “it would be smart for you to stay home, but you must come back” so Crews can win the Intercontinetal Championship. Kayla follows up by asking Apollo why the next match with Big E will different. Apollo explains “he will learn”. Heyman understands, and Apollo tells him “Big E will understand”. Apollo closes by saying “I will be waiting for him, and I will show the whole wide world how great I really am”. Kayla thanks Apollo for joining, and sends him on his way. Apollo leaves, and Kayla credits Heyman for “lighting a fire under” Crews. Heyman tells us “Apollo Crews is going straight to the top”, and adds that Crews will be a top performer in 2021. Kayla then welcomes on the nights final guests, Rey and Dominik Mysterio.
The Mysterio’s
Kayla begins by asking about The Alpha Academy, and why they keep coming after Rey. Heyman tells Rey “it’s obvious you have alot on your mind”. Heyman gives Rey the floor, and Rey says he’s “been working really hard to teach my son how to become a man”. Rey continues, and says that people like Gable “puppeteer Otis, and pretty much makes Otis his b****”. Rey tells Otis the attacks “fuel me up, and you underestimate me”. Rey adds to that, and talks about facing bigger opponents, saying “I’ve found a way to take all of them down”. Rey closes by saying “you have no idea about the magnitude of the hurricane that’s coming your way”, and delivers a few lines in Spanish, so you know he’s serious.
That’s all for this weeks Talking Smack Recap. Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day everyone!
