WWE Weekend Notes: Shows In Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky & More

In addition to the NXT U.K. TakeOver: Blackpool special on Saturday afternoon and subsequent television tapings on Sunday, as well as the recently reported NXT weekend schedule, the WWE main roster has a busy couple of days ahead of them.

WWE will hold a non-televised live event this evening at the Charleston Civic Center in Charleston, West Virginia with Dean Ambrose vs. Seth Rollins for the WWE Intercontinental Championship, Braun Strowman vs. Baron Corbin and an appearance by John Cena advertised.

On Saturday, the RAW brand will be running a house show at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee, while the SmackDown Live brand will be running the Freedom Hall venue in Johnson City, Tennessee with the following advertised matches: Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, and Rusev vs. Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Randy Orton for the U.S. Championship.

WWE wraps up the weekend on Sunday with two shows. The RAW brand will be at the Van Braun Civic Center in Huntsville, Alabama with a show featuring an appearance by John Cena. The SmackDown Live crew will be running the Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky on Sunday with the following advertised matches: Daniel Bryan vs. AJ Styles for the WWE Championship, Asuka vs. Becky Lynch for the Smackdown Women’s Championship, Rey Mysterio vs. Randy Orton, Miz TV with Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe, Rusev vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the U.S. Championship, Sheamus and Cesaro vs. New Day vs. The Usos for the Smackdown Tag Titles.
