WWE Will No Longer Run Non-Televised Live Events After Global Pandemic Passes

Once the global pandemic is finally in the rear view mirror, so too will the old style of non-televised live events in the WWE Universe.

WWE has privately told some wrestlers who they are negotiating new contracts with that the “old way” of touring with live events and house shows is not coming back, even when the country bounces back from the COVID-19 pandemic.

Another major sign that WWE will likely no longer be touring with weekly house shows is the release of about a dozen employees who worked in the live events department.

The company continues to generate record profits on the back of their TV deals and in recent years, the house show business was actually losing money.

We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as updates continue to surface regarding changes WWE is making to their old style of non-televised live events / house shows.
