Reigning WWE Women’s United States Champion Chelsea Green is one of the most over performers in the promotion today and despite that and being the inaugural US champion, she is not factored into this weekend’s WrestleMania 41 premium live event.
WWE announced their two-night cards last week and while the only rumored match yet to be announced is one that includes Randy Orton, a match for Green was among the more notable omissions. Fightfulselect.com reports that as of this past weekend, Green was not scheduled for WrestleMania but there had been a couple of pitches internally for her to serve as the host of the event, but nothing was ever finalized.
Sources within WWE’s creative team noted that once the company formats out the show, it’s still possible that a “skit or segment” could be added to accommodate Green or any other wrestler not on the card. However, as indicated above, for nothing has materialized for Green to be included.
