WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins suffered a shoulder injury at the recent Crown Jewel PLE in – an injury serious enough that the company hastened the Vision storyline and had his stablemates attack Rollins last week. On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, hosts Bryan Alvarez and Dave Meltzer provided an update on what they know.
According to the duo, Rollins will “100%” be undergoing surgery but nobody yet knows how seriously damaged Rollins’ shoulder is. The full extent of the injury won’t be known or determined until they “open him up” and at that time, a timetable for a return to action will be established.
Meltzer noted that WWE officials are resigned to the fact that Rollins will be gone for months but they are hopeful he will be able to return for next year’s WrestleMania in Las Vegas. WWE Raw General Manager Adam Pearce will be giving an update on Rollins this Monday on Raw.
