WWE writer Jen Pepperman recently made news when she won a Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Directing in a Digital Drama Series for “After Forever.” Pepperman, who gained credibility for her work in the Alexa Bliss/Nia Jax storyline in 2018, ended up bringing her Emmy to the Raw production meeting yesterday, which not surprisingly generated backstage heat for her.
According to the report, Pepperman not only brought the Emmy to the meeting, but was seen walking around with it throughout the afternoon, she placed it on the table in front of her and brought it with her on her flight.
Those backstage chalked it up to “blind arrogance” and even though she was “zinged” about it, Pepperman assumed it was all a joke.
The reputation that Pepperman has backstage though is generally positive and she is said to be well liked by her peers, the talent and the rest of the WWE staff. Some wondered if maybe she was just on “cloud nine” after her win and simply oblivious to the effect it had on the others in the company, especially since WWE has unsuccessfully tried to win an Emmy in the past.
YOU GO GIRL! congrats Jen https://t.co/KHjzXnb71F
