WWE/Saudi Arabia Update: Goldberg’s Return, John Cena/Daniel Bryan, Sami Zayn

WWE’s next show in Saudi Arabia is on 6/7 officially in Jeddah – the same city the second show last year was held in. As expected, WWE is promoting old stars Undertaker, Brock Lesnar and Goldberg – the latter “coming out of the blue.” According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it is likely because he is the one guy left who could end up with All Elite Wrestling and bring “lapsed fans” with him so WWE approached him.

John Cena and Daniel Bryan were the only two performers who officially refused to do the second Saudi show after competing in the first. Sami Zayn was pulled from the first show because the government of Saudi Arabia didn’t want him due to his Syrian ancestry and he was injured during the second. According to the Observer, it’s unclear if he will be allowed to compete on the June show.
