Oliver Luck vs. Vince McMahon XFL 2020

XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck Files Multiple Lawsuits Against WWE Chairman Vince McMahon

Although the XFL has apparently come-and-gone yet again, becoming a victim of the economy crash as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the football league is not out of Vince McMahon’s life yet following a lawsuit filed against the longtime WWE Chairman and founder of the XFL.

Former XFL Commissioner Oliver Luck, who was let go when the league folded recently, is suing the league’s owner and founder, Vince McMahon, according to multiple sources.

Luck, through his attorneys, said he was wrongfully terminated and is owed the money that he was guaranteed when he signed on to become the commissioner in May 2018.

He reportedly signed a contract worth between $20-25 million over five years and claims that he was due the remaining balance if he was terminated “without cause.”

Because the XFL’s bankruptcy filings failed to include Luck as a creditor and the courts have approved it, Luck’s only recourse was to sue McMahon personally but because his contract was with the XFL and not Vince personally, most legal experts seem to suggest that it will be difficult for him to successfully sue McMahon.
