— Vince McMahon’s new football league – the XFL – has suspended all operations and laid of all employees, according to ESPN and other sources. Unfortunately, it doesn’t appear to be temporary as the league has “no plans to return” amid all the uncertainty with the COVID-19 pandemic ongoing. XFL CEO Jeffrey Pollack held a 10-minute conference call to inform employees of the news and while he did not explicitly state that the league was done forever, everyone came away from the meeting under that assumption.
