Following significant audio issues during the six-man tag-team match on AEW Dynamite from Champaign, Illinois last week, The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega addressed the situation on the latest installment of Being The Elite.
Episode 182 of the popular digital series titled “Sprint” features, among other segments and appearances, an explanation from Nick Jackson and Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks, as well as Kenny Omega, as the trio of AEW Executive Vice Presidents (EVPs) explain what happened during the 12/4 episode of the show.
During the episode, Nick Jackson explains that satellites had gone down in Atlanta, Georgia, causing problems on the entire TNT network which ultimately led to the audio issues that AEW experienced during the AEW Dynamite show in Champaign last week.
“This is one of the hottest crowds we’ve ever performed in front of,” said Nick Jackson of The Young Bucks during episode 182 of Being The Elite. “I’ll address the issue right now cause I found out.”
He continued, “Satellites in Atlanta actually were out and they had a big problem with the whole TNT network.”
Matt Jackson and Kenny Omega also commented on the audio issues.
“As soon as we get to the back, I get a bunch of complaints, people texting me saying that the audio was bad on the TNT episode for our match,” said Matt Jackson of The Young Bucks. “It’s a downer for me cause it’s like, we just went out and killed it. This is one of the hottest crowds we’ve ever performed in front of.”
Omega added, “You want the people at home to feel the same kind of energy the crowd did, but it just doesn’t translate to TV with bad audio.”
