WWE & AEW COVID-19 Updates

The current mandate in Orange County, FL that requires everyone to wear masks will not apply to WWE’s television tapings.

The reason WWE claims is that this mandate only applies to public places whereas the company’s Performance Center is considered private property.

The other mandate going into effect is from the states of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut ordering anyone who leaves for a state that is on a list of high-ratio COVID-19 cases is required to quarantine for two weeks before being able to mingle with the general society.

This affects both WWE and AEW in multiple ways due to the promotions taping in Florida, which is considered a high risk state.

AEW was hopeful that their stringent testing of everyone would allow their talent to return home without having to quarantine while WWE’s reported plan is to circumvent the quarantine order by flying talent in and out of Philadelphia, then having them to drive to Connecticut, New York or New Jersey, if necessary.
