Backstage News Updates: Crown Jewel Plans, Eric Bischoff/WWE, Usos, Harper/Rowan Split Up

According to f4wonline.com, even though WWE has penciled in Seth Rollins to work two matches at the upcoming Crown Jewel event in Saudi Arabia, the plan is for him to only wrestle once – the singles Falls Count Anywhere match against Bray Wyatt. Rollins, currently part of Team Hogan, in the five-on-five match, is expected to be removed from that match over the next week.

Eric Bischoff’s removal from WWE reportedly occurred this morning with Bruce Prichard assuming his old role as Executive Director and Ed Koskey being Prichard’s new right hand man, especially from a creative perspective. Prichard and Bischoff are close and it was actually Prichard who helped lobby to bring Bischoff back to WWE in the first place.

The Usos and Naomi have been pulled from WWE events following Jimmy’s recent arrest for DUI over the summer. The trio has been backstage at recent WWE events but have not been used and according to f4wonline.com, there are currently no creative plans in place for them regarding a return. In fact, there hasn’t even been a decision made on what brand they will be on, which is why they were not included in the recently completed WWE draft.

Luke Harper and Erick Rowan have been once again split up as a team. Rowan was drafted to Raw whereas Harper was not picked as his status in the company appears to once again be in limbo.
