BREAKING WWE News: Andrade Shockingly Leaves WWE, Backstage Update On His Departure

After having returned only last year, Andrade is gone from WWE.

The company moved his profile from an active wrestler to the “alumni” section on their website this weekend which would be a clear signal that he has departed.

Fightfulselect.com reports that Andrade’s exit is not a case of his WWE contract expiring as he apparently has more than a year-and-a-half left on the deal he signed in 2024. The report also states that Andrade was not on the company’s internal roster list as of last month, was not backstage at Smackdown as of late and that his departure was a move in the works. Andrade’s last match was at SummerSlam in August and his imminent exit reportedly played a key role in immediate creative plans following the premium live event. When asking around to talent, a lot of them had no idea what was going on or were aware that he left WWE

Andrade re-joined WWE in early 2024, making a surprise return at the Royal Rumble after leaving AEW in late 2023 on shaky terms as AEW had wanted to re-sign him. A long-term contract was offered and the promotion was under the assumption that they had an agreement but Andrade (wrestling as Miro) abruptly told them that he wouldn’t be signing the extension after all. AEW personnel also were completely unaware that Andrade’s most recent tenure with WWE had ended and while he did leave AEW on bad terms, it is believed he didn’t completely burn his bridge there.
