In an exclusive update, more details have surfaced to explain what happened with WWE’s late call to scrap this week’s 205 Live show hours before going on the air for the launch of their Friday Night SmackDown show on FOX.
As we reported before the news broke publicly on Friday evening, 205 Live was scrapped just before WWE went on the air for their launch of Friday Night SmackDown last night with their special 20th Anniversary show.
In an exclusive update from our friend @RajahNews from Rajah.com, more details have surfaced to explain what happened last night.
Check out the update from Rajah below.
“WWE sources are suggesting that there is no 205 Live this week simply because of the big FOX debut and that the plan as of now is for 205 Live to go back to being aired directly after SmackDown beginning next week. While there are still whispers about the future of this show, tonight’s no-show does not in any way suggest that it has been scrapped.”
We will keep you posted here at eWrestling.com as any updates surface regarding WWE’s plans for changes to 205 Live, and other changes and news coming from behind-the-scenes as WWE establishes their brand on FOX per their new television deal.
