WrestleMania 36 Updates

Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg, John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt Now Planned For WrestleMania 36

It looks like Roman Reigns vs. Goldberg and John Cena vs. “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 36 are two top matches that WWE is now focusing on starting the build to on their upcoming programming.

On today’s edition of Wrestling Observer Radio at F4WOnline.com, the top of the WrestleMania 36 card was discussed including changes that have occurred over the last few weeks.

Originally, the plan was for Roman Reigns to take on Bray Wyatt in a match for the WWE Universal title and for a returning John Cena to work against Elias.

Those plans were eventually scrapped and the new, updated lineup will see Reigns take on Goldberg, who was originally not even supposed to be a part of WrestleMania, and Cena battling Wyatt.

If this plans stays on course, the results of today’s Super ShowDown match between Goldberg and Wyatt will be interesting as WWE could theoretically go in two directions: a Wyatt win coupled with Cena wrestling and winning Elimination Chamber to set up the title match, which would have an underlying storyline of Cena going for a record 17th world title reign.

The other option would be for Goldberg to win the Universal title, followed by Roman Reigns winning the Elimination Chamber.
