We have a new WWE 24/7 Champion.
R-Truth pinned Elias while he was performing at FOX’s “Founders Day” festivities on Saturday afternoon. The pin fall from Truth came from behind while Elias was busy dealing with Drake Maverick, who was taunting him from the crowd.
After pinning Elias and capturing the WWE 24/7 Championship, R-Truth immediately found himself on the defensive, as Maverick chased him all over the place before ending up getting thrown into a dunk-tank full of water.
WWE released video of the above happenings via their official YouTube channel today. The video is titled, “R-Truth and Drake Maverick target 24/7 Champion Elias at Fox’s Founders Day event,” and features the following official description: “The 24/7 Champion finds himself in hostile waters during a special performance at Fox’s Founders Day festivities.”
